Autumn in Florida. Time to Save Energy.

Well, Hurricane Irma gave us a run for our money here in Florida. Hurricanes come with the territory here as we wrap up the Summer and get into Fall. Know what also comes with Florida Falls? Cool weather and beautiful multi-colored leaves. Just kidding, it’s still 90 degrees and any trees that Irma didn’t blow down are bright green.

October is Energy Action month and it’s always a great time to learn how to save energy (and money). Florida Power & Light Power Company (FPL) has the resources available to help you save if you’re an FPL customer.

Their free Online Home Energy Survey will give you a personalized savings plan tailored just for you and your home. This plan will give you specific ways to cut your energy bill along with general recommendations and rebates that may be available for you. If you are a customer then this plan will integrate perfectly with your Energy Dashboard to show you exactly how much you’re spending per hour and how much you’re spending on things like heating, cooling and appliances.

Do you love to stay up to date on the latest technology? Well now FPL has partnered with Amazon’s Alexa. If you have an echo, echo dot or ecobee4 with Amazon Alexa you can ask Alexa for energy saving tips straight from FPL. It’s awesome when technology works together to keep money in your pocket.

Last but not least, another way to stay on top of all of your energy usage is to utilize the free FPL mobile app, which is available for download from either the Apple Store or Google Play. You are able to view your energy usage and manage your account anytime right from the palm of your hand.

You can also enter FPL’s sweepstakes for your chance to win a $10,000 Smart Home Energy Makeover and other weekly prizes.

No matter what’s going on outside your house, FPL is here to assist you with the resources to save on energy costs and keep more of your hard-earned money in your pocket. Visit them today at FPL.com.

Thanks to FPL for sponsoring this post.
