This year continues to be one for the history books, life still must go on. People have had to figure out how to deal with the pandemic and many businesses have had to change their business practices. For example, real estate agents have had to make changes regarding how they help clients buy and sell property.
If you’re in a position where you have to sell your home, here are a few tips to get your house sold as quickly as possible during this pandemic.
My pals Jon and Josh over at the Dad Bros Show podcast recorded their 200th show the other night and they graciously invited me to come on. They are a couple great dads and all around fun guys to chat with.
I also publicly revealed some exciting news about myself on the show for the first time, so go give a listen so you can be in the loop!
So this is my 200th post. That’s a lot of rambling on. Some posts have been funny, some touching, some terrible and a lot recently have been commercialized. The sponsored posts and reviews have turned into a monster I didn’t foresee. Sure, getting free stuff and making money to do something I was already doing for fun anyway is nice. But at some point it’s started to go contrary to why I started my blog to begin with, and why people were somewhat drawn to it.
So much of what I know about being a man and father, I learned either directly or indirectly from my dad. I am very thankful for his positive influence in my life. I recently connected with a guy by the name of Bolaji Oyejide. He started up Brave Little Heroes which are superhero books about kids that help to teach a positive message.
Bolaji O wants to help parents, dads especially, be better at raising up their own little Brave Heroes. He recently launched a podcast called Bravepreneur Parents Academy where he has been interviewing entrepreneur fathers to have them share their wisdom. Continue reading Like Father Like Son→
Exactly one year ago today, I published my first blog post to the world. Of course, I hadn’t told anyone I was starting a blog yet so I think only 2 random people happened to read it that first day. I blogged in secret for a couple weeks before I made my big blog announcement to the world with The Scary Truth About Kids’ Clothes. That post is still to this day my most viewed post of all time.
This happens to be my 150th published post. So much has happened in those 150 posts. I decided to take my first blogiversary and look back at all that has happened in the first year. (I’m not really sure blogiversary is a term, but I’m just going to roll with it.) Continue reading Sunshine Dad Turns One→
In the scheme of things I haven’t been blogging very long, just over 6 months but in that time I have learned a lot and I have seen the blog grow and gain some good momentum. I never could have imagined the support I would have from people all over the world reading my posts and commenting (and from people who choose to tell me face to face that they enjoy reading my posts). I wanted to share a few of my successes.
One of my favorite honors to date was recently being named one of the Top 7 Dad Bloggers to Follow in 2015 by The Dad Network. I’m not sure if they were in any particular order but I was listed at #2. The Dad Network, which is out of the UK, has networked with 100s of other dad bloggers, so for them to pick me in a top 7 list was quite the honor. Continue reading Sunshine Dad in the News→
Well, it’s that time again to get out your best posts from the week and link them up. We’ve also got a special themed link-up at the bottom where you can link up that one post that you wrote that you thought was lame but after you posted it, it turned out it did pretty well. I think we’ve all got those posts that wildly exceeded our expectations.
