Bed time routine around here almost always involves a few books. There is nothing quite like a great book to whisk you away on a great adventure. Recently I was sent a copy of Goodnight Lad to check out.
The story was a tale about a boy who wouldn’t go to bed and the lengths his parents went to in order to get him to fall asleep. If that’s all there was to this book it would have been placed on the bookshelf among our 100 other books to get worked into the book rotation.
Turns out this book has one really cool feature that sets it apart from every other book on the planet. Continue reading Old-School Meets New-School
We’ve lived in our current home for nearly 2 years and so many of the rooms, particularly the walls, still feel incompletely decorated. We are still trying to figure out what should go where and with the business of everyday life, decorating get pushed to the back burner often.
Well, when I was recently offered a chance to review WeMontage I jumped at the chance for two reasons. Continue reading WeMontage
I started to carry a set of keys the day I turned 16. I went down to the DMV with my dad (or maybe it was my mom, I can’t remember) and gave them my Driver’s Ed certificate and smiled for my picture. I had my very own driver’s license and a new found sense of freedom. I also needed to carry around my car keys and my house keys.
I stumbled across 2 unusually large key rings and decided to use them as my key ring. That was nearly 20 years ago. I still use those 2 keys rings to this day. I’ve never given it a second thought. In fact, I’ve often though about how fortunate I was to find those large rings because I have so many keys now and I’ve never seen rings as large since. Continue reading I Bet Your Keys Are Dumb
I can’t say I have been at the pinnacle of fashion and style my whole life. I’m not sure I can say I was at the pinnacle at any point in my life. But now that I stay at home and don’t leave the neighborhood for days at a time, I sometimes lose the motivation to even try. I can use all the help I can get, so when the guys over at MenEssentials asked me to try out a few of their products, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Continue reading Look and Smell Like A Man
If you’re like me, you take a ton of pictures on your phone’s camera. It might not be as good as my big expensive camera but it’s pretty dang good and it’s always in my pocket. As a result, I’m always using it. Next time I get a new phone I’m going to get one with extra memory, but that’s a different topic altogether.
After a while I have so many pictures on my phone it’s hard to sort through them all. I’ve got pictures from outings with the kids, pictures of grocery lists, screenshots of random apps, blurry pics and pictures I took just so I could remember where I parked. I try to go back and delete pictures that I don’t want but sometimes the task just gets away from me. Continue reading Get Your Pictures on Track
I was recently sent a Clean Hands Changing Pad by SnoofyBee to review. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to think when I first heard about this changing pad. My first thought was it looked like one of those cone shaped collars that keep dogs from licking/biting themselves. But once I opened it up and gave it a try, I was hooked! Continue reading Stop Slingin’ Poo
I have no idea who coined the term “sleep like a baby,” obviously it was someone who never had a baby. Many babies have a very difficult time sleeping for extended periods of time, especially through the night. “Sleep like a teenager” is probably a significantly better term. I’ve seen teens go to bed at 10 pm only to wake up the next day at 2 pm. Now that’s some good sleep!
Obviously a baby isn’t going to be expected to sleep for 14 straight hours but us tired parents can dream, right? Continue reading Sleep Like A Baby
