At the start of the summer I sat down with the kids and they brainstormed all the things they would love to do over the summer. It was fun for them to dream up places to go and it was helpful for me to know what types of things to plan. I was rather fortunate that they didn’t get too crazy with their ideas and as you can see below we were able to check off most of the items on their list.

If I were to make a list of my most favorite things, mopping wouldn’t even come close to making the list. On the fun scale from 0 to 100, it’s a 0. But, unless you have wall to wall carpeting over every square inch of your house, it’s a necessary evil. Floors need to be mopped; you might as well use a mop that makes the job easier. As a stay-at-home-dad of 5, I need as much easy as I can get! Continue reading The EasyWring Lives up to its Name
Adding a 5th kid into the mix won’t make a difference I said. Going from 3 kids to 4 kids was hardly noticeable, so I imagine going from 4 to 5 won’t be a big deal either. I was wrong. Continue reading I Was Wrong. Five Kids is Tough
I don’t believe I have had the pleasure of interviewing anyone on the blog before, so I’m excited to debut another Sunshine Dad first. Her book Golden Boy Bailey has been named among the best in family-friendly media, products and services by the Mom’s Choice Awards.
I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of writing a book myself, so I was eager to learn more about Erin and the process of writing a book. So without further ado, let’s get to it! Continue reading Interview with an Author: Erin Frew

My kids wanted to talk about their mom and they decided they should do it on the couch so it would be more special for her. I had a little chat with them about not being so crazy and they mostly listened.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
As they’ve started doing lately, the boys told me they wanted to do a playground interview and then they got all crazy. What is it about a camera that makes kids lose their minds? Actually plenty of adults lose their minds in front of cameras too. I think entire TV shows are based around this idea.
Anyhow, in our latest edition our friendly backyard snake dropped by to pay us a visit. I think he’s a black racer. We see him a few times a year. We let him be and he minds his own business for the most part. We ought to name him at this point.
Enjoy our ramblings about words we aren’t allowed to say.
When the package arrived in the mail, I could hardly wait to rip into it. I hurried inside and threw the junk mail on the counter and pulled the book out. As I saw the cover, I got goose bumps. After reading the personalized inscription I was tearing up. It only got better after that. Continue reading Lost His Name, Melted My Heart
