What is going on in the world? I know my blog usually doesn’t have anything to do with world events but it seems silly to just type away pretending Paris wasn’t attacked 3 days ago. It’s a sad, scary and uncertain world we are living in today. The sophistication of the latest attack was virtually zero. A handful of men opened fire on a large group of innocent unarmed civilians in the middle of a populated city. This type of attack is going to be nearly impossible to prevent.
I’m sad for my children, the picture above was taken at dinner less than 24 hours before the Paris attacks. How do I maintain their innocence? How do I shield them from all this? Is worldwide terrorism going to be their normal? Are we heading toward some type of Third World War? I guess only time will tell. For now I will #PrayforParis, I will pray for America and I will pray for my family. I don’t know what else to do.
Meanwhile, in completely unrelated news, there is a sweet website DealSpotr which is a community to find and share deals from all over the web. I don’t know about you, but I love saving money whenever possible. Their lead writer and editor Jason Feller even did a feature Q&A with me the other day. Jason is a senior writer at Dealspotr.com and regularly writes about a variety of topics related to frugal shopping and saving money at popular stores such as Best Buy.
You can read the full Q&A here. Take a chance to browse their site before you make any purchases, it just might save you a few bucks!
