I had the privilege of reviewing a car battery booster by 1byOne several months back. I was thoroughly impressed by their product so when I had an opportunity to review 2 more products by them, I jumped at the chance.

This time I had an opportunity to review an HDTV Antenna and iPhone Charging Station.

The HDTV Antenna works great to pull in any over-the-air tv broadcasts that are available. Yes most people have cable, myself included, but there are plenty of reasons why having a high quality antenna around is a great idea. For one, you never know when your cable might go out. This doesn’t happen often but just last week our cable went out right before the NBA playoffs were about to come on.  Thanks to my backup antenna I was able to watch the game with no issues.

As someone who goes RVing and tailgating semi-regularly I also understand the importance of a good antenna in those situations where cable isn’t an option and lugging around a satellite dish is inconvenient.

As many American’s continue to “cut the cord” a quality antenna is a must. In case you didn’t know “cutting the cord” or “cord cutters” refer to people who do not have cable or satellite TV. They watch TV via the internet or internet subscription services (Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc) and antenna. Before we lived in our current home we didn’t have cable for a while and it wasn’t that big of a deal. Currently our HOA fees include cable, so I take advantage of it since I pay for it regardless.

The second product I got to review was the iPhone/smartwatch docking station. This thing is sweet. It’s aluminum and just looks cool. Not only does it charge iPhones but it can charge iPads too. The smartwatch stand has a special cutout in the back that allows the cord to snake up behind and the watch to lay flat with the cord hidden. It’s a very well thought out design.

There are also 2 additional usb ports on the back so you can charge 2 more devices as well if you want to. The whole thing, from top to bottom, is incredibly well designed.

So if you’ve got a mess of cords sitting on your nightstand or desk and you have a smartwatch this is absolutely something you need to look into getting. I have been impressed with it and with everything from 1byOne that I’ve put my hands on. They are an innovative company that produces quality products.
